rebuilt ip, no pressure

Postby collegekid » Wed Jul 24, 2013 7:51 am

I took my ip apart and replaced all of the orings and seals, put it back together, but now I have no pressure coming out of the delivery valves. Any ideas on what to look for?

UPDATE: I am getting fuel to the top of each injector, and with the injector lines cracked I can see im getting fuel pulsed to each injector, it just doesnt seem to be getting the needed pressure. Have I over-tightened something or did I not put the pump back together correctly.....I also gutted the FSS to make sure it wasnt stuck......writing this, is the manual kill lever indexed incorrectly? Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure you have got all the air out of the lines. Sometimes they take a long time to prime. Have you tried holding gge throttle halfway down while you crank it?

Ya, its something with the manual kill lever, I cant turn it with the pump head on....im assuming its keeping the pump from pushing enough fuel to pop the injectors. Question, does the video from ebay on how to rebuild set the timing correctly, im thinking of just buying the video and rebuild kit and starting over.
