It'll quite your truck down but I only seen a very small drop in egts. Your still gonna puke spent gasses out the 3" hole on the exhaust housing. It's still gonna be worth it tho

I'm talking about the exhaust housing (cm2) on the h1c..........lots different than the exhaust housing on the hx35

I seen no explanation of how to "machine" the backing plate tho

Ya, they simply sell parts.........you're on your own to machine it or make it happen

They offer upgraded compressor and turbine wheels for the he351cw. But that's all they offer.

MY formula for big power on low budget:

-Diamond Eye 4" exhaust $260
-S300 off a Cat 230hp 3126 (62mm inducer, 68mm turbine, .080A/R wastegated turbine housing) can be had for under $300 with some careful shopping
-Drill out banjo bolts on cylinder head for fuel supply
-3200rpm spring $15
-grind stock fuel pin
-remove grid heater
-allen head bolts with .020 marine gasket about $225 total
-find NON IC injectors and turn the tips down to 7mm in a lathe $100

So right there, you have a total of approximately $800 and you will be well into the 300-350hp range. The NON IC injectors will run really well with the Cat turbo and your egts will max out around 1200*. I run about 1300* with a p pump, marine injectors and no intercooler using this turbo when under WOT load.

Do you have the p/n off that turbo by chance?

I'll have to double check what the numbers are but I know there were a few and one was I believe an S300AG072. It has to be off the higher hp (250) to be a 62mm. All the others are a 58mm which would be fine on a mostly stock truck.

I did a little tuning and squeezed 60PSI out of it at 1350* WOT tonight. It seems my RPMs hit a brick wall once I reach 60psi so I probably need to slide the fuel plate forward on my p pump some. It has 4k springs in it....

A 62mm turbo probably just isn't making any power for you at that PR, 60si is probably waaaaaaaaaaay out of its map.

If your tranny is good drop it and get a good converter in it. I recommend diesel performance converters.

I can't fully understand a compressor map when I look at one but for an S362, It looks like its maximum performance is between 30-50psi. That is when the wheel speeds are 70-90k so my efficiency drops after that. I must say the 30psi-50psi range is pretty incredible on that turbo though. Being able to spin those 37" tires in 3rd with 3.54s is something that takes some torque.
