Putting on a new exh. manifold this week end. The old bolts holding it into the block were pretty rusty and stickey-
(happy there wasn't much torque) They all came out pretty hard considering the low torque they should have been at.....
I have seen antique cars and aircraft use brass hardware on the exhaust to prevent breaking things down the road when it has to come apart again...
Also I wondered if stainless would work OK ? Not sure if I could even find metric brass bolts......
Any Opinions ? / experience ?
