Bilit,
Thanks man. I bought the part number you posted at my Dodge dealer. For anyone looking I bought MOPAR 05011955AB for $40.20 and there are plenty of them out there I believe.

Why not use generic parts from McMaster Carr? They have metric+Imperial, even stainless steel & no-lube parts for linkages:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#ball-joint-linkages/=neo04k

http://www.mcmaster.com/#ball-joint-linkages/=neo1u5
This seems so obvious ,ther must be a good reason not to do it? What am I missing?

I was looking at these parts because the ball socket jumped off the ball stud on the Freeway.................Is this a common fault with this linkage?

Yes there is a reason. Because I am lazy, showed up to the parts counter, and got everything in one box. I am willing to spend more to get the job done in one fell swoop.

I second that!

I spend so much time as it is running around getting parts, returning parts that crappy parts people give me and such that knowing i get it all in one and only have to spend time installing it. Well worth the extra $20.

You both make a good case for McMaster Carr
-order on the Internet and top quality items -and cheaper than the dealer. What's not to love?

Still have to do all the work of figuring out what parts will work.

Its easier to just call the dealer and its there, at least for the first time. Once a person has seen one then its a lot easier to make your own.

I used 2 ends of p-pump shut off solenoids. Weld 2 bolts back to back, thread on the heim joints, and put them on. I did grind off the ball that was riveted on the 1 end.
