60# over stock will do everything a ve will need.... unless one is going to run a 188/220 (or so) cam and then run high boost pressures (55-60+). At that point I would start looking at the ones Hamilton recommends.

The larger the cam, the higher the boost pressures, the higher the rpm... the stronger the springs need to be.

Question is would it hurt anything to get 90's over 60's tho just to already have it done and not having to buy them twice if u know wat I mean

This is a good question, i have a set of new 60's but with the twin setup i am looking at doing i assume 90's would be a better option. Whats your thoughts eric?

I may be stupid (or ignorant) for not knowing this..... but who is actually making a 90# over stock valve spring for a 12 valve? I can't seem to find any.

when I was looking at valve springs for my cousins 12valve Jason?? at cpp told me their 150# springs would be fine for his stock cam and that it wouldn't "wear it out" faster. my cousin never did get them so I have no idea if they are a good spring.

Jamie? Maybe....I'm horrible with names lol

I ran 60# springs with my 188/220 and twins, didn't have anything catastrophic happen. I did have a fresh Cummins head put on and had the guy sink the valves in a little bit while he was porting it to help with piston clearance.

Those aren't 90# over stock springs, The 60# over stock springs are actually stronger springs.

My apologies on mis understanding the op.... I was thinking you were referring to 60 or 90 over stock.
