Touchy throttle

Postby Horsefly108 » Sat Aug 09, 2014 11:43 pm

I have a 89 cummins in my chevy an lately my throttle has been touchy like it has more power at 1/4 throttle then it ever had it used to only do it when the engine was cold in the winter then when the engine warmed up it would go away.
Now it's doing it all the time even when at running temp. Another ? For u guys what affect would having a tank in the bed have on the lift pump since the fuel tank is higher better? Worse? Mine is 75 gallons.

warm vs cold would have to do with the ksb. I would confirm your ksb is working as it should. Timing has a lot to do with how touchy the throttle is.

Its staying advanced all the time now and i have never hooked up the wire going to the ksb. I'm not sure exactly how the ksb works.
will it hurt anything having it advanced like its doing?
