do you think theres enough room to get a wrench in the pan if you pull all the bolts but not lift the motor

Joel,
Thanks for the pics. Now I know there's a screen on it, so that protects me.
My ranger didn't and it sucked a piece of gasket cork up into the tube, blocking it.

Tomorrow's the day to start going at it.

Once again, Thanks.

BTW, if ya are into guns/politics/military, I usually hang out at gunsnet.net in their general discussion forums.

Gary, what are you going to do? Pull the pan or plumb in a mechanical gauge to see that your oil pressure is just fine?????

do mech gauge.
I think that'll work because the new sending unit now registers 0.
My mechanical abilities are about a 10 out of 100...not 0. ;)

so mech gauge and if all's well, oil change for me and my sig.

If not all well, flush and try again, but it should be good to go.

Update==mech gauge installed and reads 25-70, cruising at 50. Most importantly it goes the right way when it's supposed to.
Too early in the day to start on the cold brews.

Strange that the new sending unit also malfunctioned, even worse.
Advanced auto parts seem to be very very expensive. Air net $29, 10 more than checker.
Napa seems quite reasonable in pricing, which is surprising.

Thanks all for the input...as the saga continues...

I hope not because I didn't get the memo. I'm sort of an admin there. ;)

I guess then, I can use this line...."I AM da gubmint". :D
