Clutch line help

Postby 92cummins89 » Fri May 30, 2014 10:28 am

Bent the rod on my peddle to the clutch boost
Not really sure wat it's called or would call it
Have a pic of it but it's the piece the clutch rod pushes against to engage the clutch has a spring on the bottom end of it and I can't figure out how to put it back in

Like I said idk wat it's call

So it's the piston inside the master cylinder? There's a bunch of pics, measurements, and descriptions in the link I posted in your other thread.

Isn't that the guts out of the slave master cylinder?

Sooooo, you've figured out the rod linkage, you just can't get the piston back into the master cylinder?

On the piston, just use a tiny screwdriver or pick to work the seal lip back in. Start it at an angle to seat one side, then just squish it into the bore as you slowly level it out. Obviously you don't want to tear the seal whatsoever, so if it doesn't work the first time pull it out and start over. Just make sure the seal lid doesn't get boogered or flipped over. If it came out it can go back in.

No clue on the slave rod, I know it has a little rubber/plastic nipple over the end that sits in the clutch fork. And it's probably hardened somewhat to prevent bending. I'd pull mine apart to measure, but we're moving hay. If I get a chance I'll take pics and measurements.
