On the piston, just use a tiny screwdriver or pick to work the seal lip back in. Start it at an angle to seat one side, then just squish it into the bore as you slowly level it out. Obviously you don't want to tear the seal whatsoever, so if it doesn't work the first time pull it out and start over. Just make sure the seal lid doesn't get boogered or flipped over. If it came out it can go back in.
No clue on the slave rod, I know it has a little rubber/plastic nipple over the end that sits in the clutch fork. And it's probably hardened somewhat to prevent bending. I'd pull mine apart to measure, but we're moving hay. If I get a chance I'll take pics and measurements.
