I am trying to wire a US Shift Quick4 transmission control to run a 1992 12v Cummins ahead of a 4R100. It looks like I have two options to use for the TPS input. The factory Dodge TPS on top of the pump or the Ford one [they call it the acceleration pedal position sensor] located at the fuel pedal.
How good or bad are the TPS units on the pump? What voltage range do they have? Reliable output?
The one on the pump would be ideal since, being connected directly, it should read in line with the fueling. However, if I use the Ford one I am going to have to phase the pedal and the pump linkage together so that pedal input matches fuel output.
Thanks.
