So are you saying this was a good day.

BTW I know where 6 of those engines are at. They are complete with the generators still attached. The bad news is they are on a military base just rotting away.

I went to the lake, dragged our dock to the boat landing, and brought down the excavator to load it on the trailer. The fire department was doing training drills there and one of them called the police and said I was destroying the boat landing with my excavator. The cop came down and told me. I was like Look at the tracks. They have rubber tracks, not metal pads. He said ok and left. The fire chief of our town was there and he told the guy not to call as I knew what I was doing. He called anyway. I yelled across the yard when I was done. " Imagine that, I did it with out wrecking the place." A few of the fire boys turned around. They Knew I was ulgy and they better not push my buttons anymore.

Thats a shame Philip. You would think they would sell them off. Even if it is just scrap price. When metal was high lots of cool stuff went to the scrap yard. Next town over had a train at there public landing. Chopped it up and took it to the scrap yard. Also a guy had a perfectly fine old excavator for sale for a couple years. A scrap guy bought it, drove it on the trailer and took it in for scrap. Its to bad.

The problem with those engines. They are on an island that is closer to Russia than Alaska. I was stationed on it for a year.

I'll have to look around and see if I have pic's of them.
