Bobcat was the 1st, so everybody calls them bobcats. They used to be cheap pieces of crap, steel 1/2 as thick as on a Case. No wonder they were $15k cheaper on price. The new ones are a lot heavier. They still suck to work on though!

A guy in town has a bobcat and sheared the loader off it. The mounts busted off the chassis and all that was holding it on was the rams. I have a Dawoo. Its a nice rig and has a perkins. Its around a 7.5 k pound machine. All brands bust. ;)

I have a 642B Bobcat, 92 Model, 3400 hours, it weighs 6900 pounds, and is QUICK. Never broke one, or seen one broke, house movers use them here, they work fine. All but the Takuechi (Spelling again?) are so much slower than Bobcats.......... :?

Dad's got a 80's model 975, dare you to say that thing is light and cheap, LOL.

Most of my issue with other brands, besides being slow, is that if you use your implements while turning, the weak side slows down , OR, like, when drilling holes, the wheel control is mushy and touchy, depending on if the auger is spinning or not.

But thats me......
