2010 aint good allready

Postby txs » Sun Jan 03, 2010 9:42 am

lost my front driveshaft ujoint thursday night, I know better from many years of dodge ownership, didn't crawl under there with a 3/8" wrench once in a while and check the bolts. At least there was no yoke damage, one side was gone, no strap or bolts, I believe these things would vibrate the b#@%# off a brass monkey! I got a drawer full of straps and bolts, these things were shared by a LOT of chryco rear drive vehicles. Was fun saturday laying in the snow at 10*F and windy. Also lost 2 of the big (even bigger than group 27 battery) batteries, one was a rural king, not had a lot of luck with thier batteries.
93 w250 6 speed 4" exhaust, caution, work truck, she's no beauty. building 1 ton dually 4x4, dana 80, 48rh, 205 Scratch the one ton, bought frt. dually 4x4 98 12 valve with the tiny rear doors. rides so much better than the 93.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, I'm feeling the parts scrapping urge that usually comes from idiots unable to make up their minds as to what they want.

I realize it's hard times, but still........

Your lucky. When my shaft blew it wiped the yoke out with it. Tore one ear right off. Welded one back on, shaped the cradle and ran it the rest of the winter. :D We lost one on a 97 and the shaft bent, ripped a hole in the tranny pan. NICE.

I prefer my 2x for the maintenance too, and the handling with heavy loads.
