Kinda hard to watch...

Postby peobryant » Fri Jan 22, 2010 1:29 am

I found this on another site, and thought you all might like to see it as well.

And that is why I have nothing but the utmost respect for police officers. Even if there are a few jerks, they have to deal with a lot worse on a daily basis. It makes me sick when people call them "worthless pigs" or anything else. Of course, those people are probably the same ones in the video.

If anyone on this forum is in Law Enforcement, I'd like to say THANK YOU.

I grew up in a law enforcement house. My dad is a retired chief. Back before E911 was standard it rang in our house. You would be surprised at what they have to deal with. I went out with him often and he was really good at what he did. I always worked on the police cruiser, set them up with the lights, radios, cages ect. I was just a highschool kid but our setups were nice. I have so many police stories that would make you laugh and plenty that would make you cry. Most of the cops are great people. I knew about every cop that worked this area. State, county, and local. Alot of the guys I knew are now retired or pretty high up. One story I have to tell.... He got called to a domestic fight. This guy was fighting with his wife. My dad got in the house and he was sitting on the couch with a stick of dynomite. Things did not go his way and he went to jail. I could write a book full of stuff like that.

richie i know what you mean my dad was police chief when i was younger and then went on to be the sheriff in our county, so i also have quite a few stories. strange what kind of people you meet/deal with in that setting! i think we could both prolly write a novel about the stories.

i also have the most respect for everyone serving this country for us. most people odnt even realize how much the local police/sheriff and state patrol officers do for us. its amazing how much order they keep for us. then we got the guys over seas protecting us, they have alto more courage than me i will tell you that. thats what makes me want to become a sheriff for is cause its just a fulfilling job i would think. i have 5-6 buddies that work for the sheriffs department or on teh local police force. all respect for em
