There is a guy up here that put a p pump engine in a mid 80's chevy and he has a 5 speed ally. He wanted to stay gm in a gm truck. He said he paid big bucks for the stand alone system to make the ally work. Last I knew the tranny kept going into " safe " mode and popping out of gear. Not sure if he fixed that or not.
