Administrators?

Postby KGreen » Fri Feb 12, 2010 1:27 am

I've been lerking around som other forums latly and I've noticed a lot of them have a bunch of admins. this site seems to only have a few any reason for that? out of curiosity how do you become an admin for a website.

thanks and the new layout is looking good guys.

This site doesn't have that many members, and the majority of us are laid back and respectful towards eachother. I think there has only been 1 member EVER banned here, and he wasn't the brightest character you'd ever meet. Richie is basically the only admin, as he's the only one I see try to prevent or stop arguments, even though they happen very rarely (see injector thread...)

I'm not really sure HOW to become an admin, I guess Swank (the founder of the site) originally selected people, and they have the option to give others the title. I have to say, I wouldn't mind being an admin myself, the red username looks pretty cool. :D

In all seriousness, if Richie needed help I'd gladly do it, but the way this site runs I highly doubt he'll need it.

By the way, are you back in Ky? I saw that truck at the farm again today, I hadn't seen it for a while but as I was driving by I saw it with the hood open. How's she treating you?

Usually 1 person can handle the traffic here. Its pretty easy. I get help from Swank, KTA, and Muddy when ever needed.

Some of the other sites are Troll Dens. It takes a lot of Mods to subdue a Troll. :rambo:

Its alot better here as far as the stupid stuff, but 90% of teh time its dealing with someone elses drama... And yes... Richie and them do a hell of a job over here!

I like it here because its so laid back, and the info is top notch! I come here to get a brake from drama!

I would like to thank all you guys that support me. I try to do my job without being a jerk. This is a nice place to be and I will try my best to keep it that way. I don't care much for drama either. :D Swank handled all the switch over stuff and has done a great job getting things back easy for me. He has done alot behind the scene's as far as adjustments and updates. He has been very busy getting things back running smooth. KTA and Muddy have also helped a great deal booting out the spam and all threads that were around. Some times there were 2 of us on together banning spammers at the same time. Things have gotten back to normal.
