What do you think

Postby Farmboy » Wed Mar 31, 2010 6:22 am

My brother in law pulls a farmall M and I pull a John Deere A. Due to a realy long explination that I don't want to get into, we might end up having to make our newly aquired 9 bolt rims interchangable between the two tractors. What do you think about this color for both sets of rims. It would definately be different on the JD. (I found the pic of the farmall on the internet, the JD is mine.) I think it is going to have to grow on me but I think it will work.

p.s. The front rims on mine would be painted that cream color as well and the hubs on mine would be yellow.

Dosen't look right on the A, the cream color makes it look like an Oliver!! :yuck: You might want to consider silver or chrome.

I don't know man that don't look right, if you got 2 sets of rims why would you paint both sets the
same color, and is one set going to stay on the A? just asking.

Fugly! :yuck: Paint them yellow on 1 side and cream on the other! ;)
Seriously, silver would be a decent compromise.

Ok here it is.... I told you it was long so I warned you.

I am running 14.9 tires my brother in law used to run 14.9s also. he is going to up to 16.9s. so I am going to run his old 14.9s because they are still like brand new. My father in law doesn't want to give up ownership of the tires because his tractor still gets used on the farm everyday and the 16.9s that he is getting are going to be good sharp pulling tires but he doesn't know how well they will do hauling manure in January with a foot of snow. So he might want his 14.9s back for the winter months since mine just sits in the garage in the winter.

I am not sure weather he was serious about that or was just making conversation. I will have to find out for sure before I paint my rims. I am just exploring some options.

Chrome would be sweet but way too expensive for us.
