I need to rant a bit. There is this little black primered honda 4 door that has no exhaust and rips up and down my street at all hours of the day and night. The whole neighborhood is 25mph speed limit, and has several bends and curves you cannot see around. As I was on my way home from work 2 streets from my house, I am crossing a speed hump at less than 10 mph and this guy came whipping around the corner at well over 60 mph from behind me and locked his tires up and hit my hitch. He was almost slowed down enough and just barely hit it. Just enough that I felt it. He just turned around and went down the next street and took off again. I always complain that I bang my shins on the hitch, but I'm glad I left it in. No damage to the truck. I went down the street he turned on but he was already 1/4 mile away and I'm not going to try and chase him down over this, then I'm just as bad as him. I have called the cops numerous times with noise complaints and his speeding in the residential area, but they never get here in time, and he has no plate, and at one point my neighbor said he had a retractable plate cover on it. At one point he also had a paper tag in his dark windows that you could not read, but its gone now. I have never seen him drive it outside the neighborhood. There are lots of people walking on the side walks in the evenings, and he is going to wipe out sooner or later. I had kinda given up until tonight when he hit me. With no plates, the police won't do anything. The 911 operator tonight asked me if this was rivalry thing and I was just trying to get him busted because I have called so many times. I told her its gunna be a rivalry between an angry parent and a dead child on the sidewalk soon if they don't catch this guy, now don't be a smarta$$ and send an officer out and make a report about the collision!! Still no proof of anything. There were 3 people on the sidewalk that saw it and not one of them said anything to the officer, they just shrugged when he asked about it. Its like every one is afraid of him and his buddies. Not sure what else to do without getting myself into trouble...... or start a 1 man war against his little gang of buddies. I am sure if I found him and talked to him, it would be ugly, and I'm not really interested in making trouble, just want to get this guy off the streets. My neighbor jokingly said tonight its just like the movie "Gran Torino" where everybody knows, but nobody talks. He knows I am a fan of eastwood movies and told me if the cops won't do it, I should unleash my inner "Harry Callahan"
. His humor calmed me down some. Unfortunately he did not see it happen. Hoping to see his plate at some point and call it in. I am glad no one was hurt and no damage was done to my truck. I am not sure what I would have done if he screwed up my new paint. That rivals "he killed my dog" on the the reasons to kill list
. I guess this is just the nature of living in the ghetto part of the city. Any body out in the country want to rent out a bedroom and a garage stall????

, you know how they sound, flyin up and down the road, i'd like nothin better than to show him what his blood looks like, but even worse he's kinfolk and his mom thinks he does no wrong
