Bad week, not over, yet.

Postby Mark Nixon » Thu Jan 21, 2010 6:05 pm

Started out the week okay, then went to package a Getrag case to ship it out on Tuesday, slipped on some ice and dropped the case on the pavement and BROKE it!
Now I have a customer up in arms at me. It gets better.

Tuesday night, hanging out, trying to find a FSM for a guy, I find a site that claims to have it for FREE, got it downloaded and found out it was a very bad VIRUS, instead.
So much for no AV to speed up my "internet experience" from now on. :(

Been offline until about an hour or so ago, because of it.
Seems like dial-up slows them down, but DSL helps the things propagate.

You need good virus protection. I have had good luck with mcafee so far.

I use AVG, it seems to catch just about everything virus wise. I need something to catch the adware, spyware, malware, whatever that crap is.

I haven't done MY part on that one, either, so it's not a big deal.

2 good things DID happen, the Road Runner on the hauler DID "fly" home and I picked up some more low mileage 1st gen parts to sell later on.

As far as the AV cracks, you can still get infections with a CONDOM!!!

I think I talked to the guy who you sold the Getrag case to over on Cummins Forum. He hadn't heard from you in a while, and posted about it. I gave him your number so he could talk to you. Everything working out?

I don't have any good spare cases left.
I dropped and broke the one, as I mentioned earlier, and the other spare that I thought I had, it has a spun input bearing race.

I have a complete 4x4 one, and the 2wd one in the '93 E/C, but no way am I parting either out.
