no p pumps allowed

Postby txs » Sun Aug 22, 2010 5:43 am

I'm noticing more and more of the ads for tractor and truck pulls around here say no p pumps, what's up with that, are they blowing everything else into the weeds?
93 w250 6 speed 4" exhaust, caution, work truck, she's no beauty. building 1 ton dually 4x4, dana 80, 48rh, 205 Scratch the one ton, bought frt. dually 4x4 98 12 valve with the tiny rear doors. rides so much better than the 93.

I have never seen a diesel truck pull that said no P-pumps, but the farm tractors are often like that. Probably 85% of all tractors built never had p-pumps and since a good p-pump can make an easy 100hp more than the A-pumps and rotary pumps they usualy ban them so the playing field is pretty level and the tractors are competitive. This is in farm stock and hot farm classes only though.
