And just how much money did that cost you to fix, hardly anything. ;) I guaranty that solenoid was 50$ or more......if Andy bought a decent brand. Not to mention the cost of the big honking over kill fuses.

Your also in the beginning of the third month......if your in the "red" means what I think, where's the brand new truck?

No answer to the Ford trash talk

Running in the red, like in a tachometer sense. I'm burned out. But I'm not sick like Dar and my chit isn't broken like Andy, so I guess I'm doing ok.

See my transmission thread, Mr. Professional Mechanic. I have a question. :)

Ha! Ford had mechanical diesels too. Can you buy a set of CR injectors for $80? That's apples to oranges.

Don't forget the chebie 6.2. You cannot get a speeding ticket, but it will get you there.

Speaking of bs. I went to help a friend of a friend out today with his truck. I got it all figured out expecting a 30 rack of Coors in return. He handed me a harbor freight generator, and said its mine.

My family does a bunch of tent camping. This little light addition is a nice thing to have. I was excited to get it!

 but mechanical ceased in 94.5 :) nothing against a good running 7.3, 6.0 & 6.7, but I like that I can have a 02 and still have cheap injectors that wear out after 460k miles.

Granted all new rigs are CR now

Probably was the injector orings, oh and valve cover gaskets, hpop, IDM, fuel filter plugged, CPS failed, IPR needs rebuilt, injector fractured and is gushing oil, and the fuel bowl heater shorted out ;)

All of those give lots of heads up before checking out.

ihredneck wrote:...oh and valve cover gaskets,..., IDM,..., CPS failed... and the fuel bowl heater shorted out ;)

Easy fixes, but uncommon.

I've never heard of that. Ever.

Congrats you learned some Power Stroke vocabulary. Just don't kick a guy while he's down ;)
