I didn't want to strap that grill down to the flatbed and fubar it. ;)

Uh-huh.

The old Dodge could barely handle those hubcaps but I did what needed to be done. Sacrifices were made out of respect to my fellow 1stgenners. The opposite of minivan disrespect.

Now Levi, don't forget the 2000+mile trip I took out west with old green that included picking you up an RC rear hatch and fuel tank. ;)

You have a twin turbo first gen! I could have confiscated your Man Card on the spot. No one would overturn that ruling!

^True story. Your Dodge was dragging azz. Maybe it was the hubcaps, maybe it was an intentional "Tennesee Tilt", I don't know.

But still you stepped up and got the job done with a 1st gen :salut:

Or was it just the fat chick in the passenger seat? :P

Oh, and as for the man card....you have to turn that in when you get married.

BTDT! I was traveling to a tractor club plow days and lost the grill off the side of the trailer. It was hanging upside down and the guts were gone. I put it back on and kept going, and called my mom on the way. She was going to camp and wandered up and down the side of the interstate for 1/2 and hour and found the grates. It had a little road rash but survived a couple more years.

That's cold  She didn't say a word to me the whole time, just hammered away on the old iPhone. Maybe she's mute? If so, Levi scored

She seems really nice, but one has to wonder what could be wrong with her since she is with Levi.

Everyone thinks I'm a Dick until they meet me  . Just ask Nixon ;) . That's how I buy things, I've gotta tear em apart to inspect em. Just ask Jeff about his starter a few years ago at SOP   . It was nice meeting you Levi, no worries on the short chat. Heck I felt I held you up long enough considering all the driving you still have in front of you. You gotta make it to SOP now 8) .

Heh, I asked her why she didn't get out any while I was chatting with you all, she said she didn't figure I wanted her to. Apparently you guys aren't the only ones who thought I only brought her to prove I wasn't gay.

SOP is gonna be a brutal drive, but hopefully I'll have a Ramcharger to make the drive in. Plenty of room to stretch out, a nice stereo, a place to sleep, hopefully cruise control.

Cruise is sweet.. I looked, Google says SOP is 302 miles for ya, piece of cake! Apparently I picked up one of my 70's trucks 'slightly' near you in Circleville, Oh.

Hell, that's almost to Columbus! Around these parts, if it's farther than 20 minutes away I consider it a road trip.

I'm hoping the cruise thing works out, I've got the dash harness and computer for it, and I'm waiting for a reply from a guy on RCC who says he has the engine harness. After the pain from this ride, I may just break a broomstick off and jam it between the throttle and the seat.

Speaking of pain, my front driveshaft may not have been the only causality. I noticed the truck was idling lower and lower at every stop. I couldn't see out of mirrors before the Waffle House, and I could barely hold into toe top of the steering wheel about a mile from the house. Dun dun duuuuuuuuuunnnnnn...

I would love to make it one of these years...hopefully I can get my 77 truck going and drag it along. Wish things would slow down some for me.
