Here is my retirement plan. Pretend the sleeper doesn't exist and the axle is right behind the tank. I can't say I've ever dealt with a 6+4 before though.

I really like my Droid Razer Max. It will stay charged for 12 hours with me using it a lot.

That's a nice looking truck Caleb. I'd say it needs more horsepower though

Well I know for a fact that 500 horse in a farm truck will get you pretty far here in the flat half of Indiana. I can only imagine what an extra hundred horse, another 300 cubes, and who knows how much more torque would do

ellis93 wrote:Why Caleb lol

Because KTA! That's why. Plus almost everyone I know runs an electronic truck or an aerodynamic truck. The Volvos, Freightliners, and short hood trucks out number the long hood mechanical trucks big time at the elevator. It's quite sad in my opinion

Perhaps I'm spoiled, as most of my amateur trucking experience is with a 500 horse 379 with a sweet Seminole paint job and an 18 speed.

I can tell you why there are short trucks out numbering those....... They can turn  and no football field required

Hey I like those old 379's they look great......traveling a straight line

I'm just messing with you

When I say it needs more horsepower it's more if a blanket statement. Just like I said Caleb's truck could do with more horsepower. I actually say it about everything. I had a thought about a semi with about 1500hp so yeah I'm a bit crazy like that

I've always thought about trucking, but It won't happen until the kids are gone and its just me and the lady and travel the country side. for a couple years then do it again with a camper.

Horse power isn't everything.......when you depend on your truck to make money I would take a 500hp over a 1500 hp truck any day of the year because I won't be spending my earned money on driveline components.
92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.
85 D350 single wheel, converted to cummins, getrag, turned up 2 turns and afc screw flush.

Yea if I were driving for a living, I'd want a Freightliner with a series 60 Detroit and a 13 speed. Those trucks are easy on fuel and they're a dime a dozen.

Sadly, chrome don't get you home and neither does a long hood.
