Remind me before the next SOP. I have a few things you may be interested in

Things that would be quite difficult to get in Canada ;)

Interesting, powder coated bullets, never heard if such a thing. Good info on the round nose, dads been talking about casting our own bullets, have to let him know about the round nose, might have to give it a shot.
Sounds like ill have to try harder to get to sop this year

Check out castboolets forum....spelled just like that. You can pick up on a lot of stuff on there.

A Lee breach lock single stage. I'm to new at it/chicken to go progressive press just yet. Plus I won't trust a machine to not fail to drop powder or not double charge a case. I've heard to many stories.

I'll try my best to remind you Caleb. I've fired plenty of rifles, and every action but full auto on them, but nothing with hand guns

We've got a Mec progressive for 12ga shotgun. Awesome piece of equipment. The only time it has issues is when the operator fails to do there part. We've loaded easily 100's of thousands of rounds on it, was nothing to load 10 cases on a Friday night so the following weekend we had ammo to shoot leagues or competition.

Usually it messed up cause you got going to fast, had a wad press in weird, or the shell crinkled when crimped. Occasionally a primer dropped weird, but mainly it was issues with seating the wads or final crimps.

May as well start you with a .44 Mag. It's mostly down hill from there

On reloading, it seems to me that the progressive presses aren't popular because the serious reloaders are either trying to speed up the bullet, slow down the bullet, or make it more accurate. None of those lend themselves to mass production. We can shoot a pistol round out of a rifle for deer here in Indiana (think cowboy gun) and dad has made some smoking .44 mag rounds. 100 yards is a gravy shot with these rounds.

.338 win mag has been the most powerful rifle I've fired (iirc they were 230 grain) but I really like shotguns. I'll be curious to try out some hand guns. 500s&w sounds interesting

I wasn't having them talk like that around my kid (the girl was in there) so I whipped that thing out and plopped it on the dash...I swear the bumm coming toward the truck levitated for a second and spun around

Ellis, a couple buddies were in NYC for something and the bums were cleaning windows at a stoplight, and the guy driving put his 9mm up on the dash like you did. He said nobody came near the car after that.

And clean your hands you dirtbag! ;)

Ellis is that a lee cast bullet? I castes some 440 grain lee bullets and powder coated them. Pretty sure I seated them too deep and wouldn't hit a barn. Shooting a New England handi rifle 500.

I have two Hornady lnl ap presses and two lee single stage presses. I cast for all of my weapons other than 223 and 25-06. I wanna get a mold for the 223 and try them with the powder coating.

Really thinking about building a new ar in 25-45 sharps. Seems like a neat new round. Or I may invest in a tax stamp and build a suppressor. Haven't decided yet.

Pistols, not hand cannons

Those 500s scare me, but given the chance, I'd shoot one. One of dad's friends slays deer with a 460.

Nope I bought a second hand brass mold from a guy on castboolets for a song. I shoot them out an H&R handi rifle. They thump pretty good too. To think its a handgun round....Lordy!

I'm fixin to pull the trigger on the 70gn mold for 223 on here.

I like the looks of their stuff, plus the brass molds are reasonable-ish.
