I want to the NRA national convention in Indianapolis today. I must say if you are at all interested in hunting or the shooting sports, put it on your bucket list. There is literally acres of new guns for the handling and smokin hot sales girls, not for the handling.

You name it, it can be found there. Excellent event to attend.

I put my fuel sump in today, what a cluster fart of errors that was! I had the fuel almost all drained out when I realized I didn't have a 3" hole saw, so I had to chase around to find one. Then I got the hole drilled and the sump fitted, and discovered that my 90* fitting I was going to use wouldn't screw into the sump, and there was no place to get one today. I went to my buddies and found a fitting on a burned up truck he had and put that in. Then I couldn't get the screws to start in the keeper ring. A 2 hour project took me about 6, typical.

Caleb, be careful, you will get fuel out of it when you drill the hole. I pumped mine out thru the draw straw and then jacked up the back of the truck as high as the jack would go to push the last bit to the front. It still had a little in the back. Locate where it has to go, drill the 3" hole, then drill 1 screw hole and put a bolt in from inside to hold the sump. Do 1 on the opposite side and then hold the sump in place and drill the rest. I had a couple holes that were off a little bit and the screws started hard. Cut off 2 -1/4 inch bolts to use as line up studs, screw them into the keeper plate, then put up the sump and the rest of the screws. I used my screw gun with an allen bit to drive them most of the way in, then finished with an allen wrench by hand.
Not really a bad job, just my luck Murphy was helping me today. ;)

Did you put it directly below the sending unit? I feel like there is something there. Something was up when I had my sending unit out.

I think I saw in an ad for that event that there are NINE acres of booths. Definitely on my list of things to do, that and the SHOT show in Vegas.

They predicted attendance to be at 70,000 over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

He gave me the hood with it too. That a little elbow grease and it will look alright. :D I'm really tickled in how much better than the Ford 4000 loader tractor it is. The hydraulics are about as fast as a new tractor (unlike the Ford), it has a really tight turning radius and the shuttle shift makes changing direction so much faster and easier. 8)

We had a 430 industrial with a loader, we have a 411b that's in the process of getting the engine rebuilt. Ours has a similar trans. hand\foot clutch with triple range. It'd run close to 45 mph if the front end wasn't so loose lol.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Got myself a present

So much for keeping it stockish.

Found out why my truck ran damn good for stock. It wasn't stock! Found 1 AFC screw stripped and the others a biotch to get out. They turned the cone. So I took a grinder to it. Much better! Now for a gov spring.

And valve springs
And wheels
And injectors
And a turbo
And a cam
And a rebuilt VE.
And a converter

Damn

Is that a big truck fender?

Caleb, about 3-4 inches behind the rear tank strap. Any farther back and the bottom of the tank had too much curve to it. I thought about under the module because it has a nice round flat spot but then it's restricted by the module. Should be fine where I put it, fuel always goes to the back anyways. ;)

Or is it a drag slick? I ordered some things today too. Got the steed speed for jaeger ordered along with something that's pointless but amusing. Also smoked The Roo Hunter's taillights, and front turn signals. They turned out pretty good, and give the truck a cleaner look in the back. Now I just have to get new ones of both so I have ones that don't have severe pitting, peeling chrome, and damaged plastic. Then I'll do a better job on them

33x16.5x15 Mickey ET slicks. $50 for a set. Has around 50 passes on them. I'm buying some 15x14 wheel with 4" back spacing.

Any way to get the LE rubber trim off without hurting it? I'm thinking I'm going to sell it. It's complete so it might be worth something.
