Here's an interesting bit of information for those who fought the cold.

I spoke with our fuel man and he blamed ULSD for the gel up issues. He said that the Power Service doesn't act the same as it did with good old LSD. In his personal bulk tank he had a blend of 50/50 kerosene and ULSD. The nozzle still froze up on him.

I know around here that we broke 20 year old records for low temps. His thought process makes good sense to me.

So far where I am now has been above freezing all week. Below freezing where I'm from, but nice here. I get to put the 5" exhaust I got for my 4th gen in August on this weekend. It'll be nice to get some decent mileage now

-- Just got off the phone with a friend who lives in Montana.

She said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is 32 below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force. Wind chill is -59. Her husband has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare.

She says that if it gets much worse, she may have to let the him in.

Correction........that $675 is MAP (minimum advertised price) and not msrp.....msrp is $750.

Did you win, Snoot?

Dam right I won!!!

As for getting my password reset... I tried that and nothing really got worked out. Yes if a mod reads this I would like to reset my password. My e-mail still works that is tied to SNOOT.

I get this message when I try to log in or get my password sent to me. I have tried a number of log in passwords and e-mail configurations but none of my typical work.

The e-mail/username information submitted could not be found.

I agree that that is very expensive for a radiator....... But, it's a lot less than a $1500 intercooler that folks jump all over ;)

And for us performance guys that run a ton of timing.... our coolant system doesn't even pretend to keep up on wot runs.

If someone could prove that the aluminum radiator kept up with our 1st GEN heat I would jump on it.. You know twins with an auto trans WOT for minutes not seconds..

Agreed.... I've never personally had a vehicle that I have put in an aluminum radiator into, I don't know how much advantage they have.

Even at stock timing my cooling system won't keep up. Since that one is supposed to be higher volume to begin with it should at least do a little better.

The cores are different between copper and aluminum radiators. The aluminum radiators (though alum. is less efficient) allows the heat to disperse faster due to more fin contact. They are also stronger... as they are not held together with basically solder.
