Dad's '97 will do 19 mpg on the highway at a steady 70 mph. Under any other conditions it's around 15-16 mpg. If I found a regular cab f350 srw for a decent price, I'd jump. I'd just hate myself if I bought a ttb truck.

If you can get it cheap enough, just swap in a D60 monobeam axle....?

It has 4.10's in it. I'm lucky to get 10.5 out of it. I have 3.55's in the crew now so I'll see if it makes a difference when I swap things over.

I cut apart 3/4 of the Ramcharger's underhood harness last night trying to find out why I couldn't start it with the key.

Between using a 91 manual on a 93 harness, and a bad illustration of the neutral/reverse light switch, I didn't realize it grounded through the transmission case until it was too late. I spent almost an hour tracking those damn reverse light wires before it hit me. :?

Oh well, electrical tape is cheap, right?

D60s are $1000+ around here and you dang near need a donor truck for springs, shackles, and such. Trust me, I've thought about it.

I have a D60 but need 3.55 gears instead of 4.10's. Either that or I need to jump up to 325's which I really don't want to do.

Around here axle prices has dropped a little, GM D60F usually goes for about $500 now, Ford's for a little more. I'm always watching prices as the thought of running a standard 60F and a 80 rear keeps popping into my brain...

A d60 and disc brake d80 would be so the way to go.

I couldn't get $400 for a D60 front out of my first 1st Gen. Mark ended up with it.

Has anyone ever done dyno testing with water injection going from straight water to washer fluid? Having trouble getting the tractor to stay lot when the water comes on. Comes on good with the charger and then water comes and puts it out. Running three enderle alcohol injection nozzles, 700-750 psi, and about a pint and a half of water in 15 seconds. Any ideas? Thinking running straight washer fluid with oil may help but not 100%.

Welllll, since we're on the topic of axles, does anyone have the BOMs of a 3.07 D61 and D71 handy? I know it shouldn't matter, but I'm ordering lockers and the local guy wants the BOMs to make sure they'll work.

I've actually found a few online, but if anyone has them jotted down off their trucks at least I'd know they were off a 1stgen.

I found the one on my front axle easy, stamped on the tube, but neither of my 70's have the cover tag and there's everything but a DOM number on the axle tubes.

Water is there to cool EGTs. Too much and you lose the heat energy for the turbo. The water/meth may help but it sounds like it's too much period.
