We had 55 or so here today with a lot of rain. Then it got windy and we had to get off the roof we were trying to sheet so we didn't blow away.

I just read the thread again and didn't see mention of them. Where are they at and what years have them? Dad's 97 is having a minor issue that I'm trying to sort out. It's fuel related.

That's the advice I typically offer

Glow plug problems? Cummins swap. Cam sensor quit? Cummins swap. Oil needs changed? Cummins swap.

They're inside the fuel sending unit, there's a big white-ish housing. Inside that housing is where these pos's are. There is two friction tabs on the bottom of that housing that you'll need to spread in order to gain access to them, two ice picks work well for this.
Oldest one I've done was a 99 year model, today's was an 03. I'll look and see if I can find out how far back this goes. No kidding tho,I've done 5 now 6 that had this same thing going on.

Good to know if I ever have an issue. If they're in the sending unit, I doubt they are in the pre-SD trucks. There isn't much going on in there, just fuel level and a big shower head looking pick up tube if I remember correctly.

From what I'm seeing it's only superduty plastic tanks.

Me too. That's my standard answer when I hear anybody saying they need to work on a ford, "Doing a Cummins swap?"

Insurance starts first of the year. I'm going to go in to get the ol' ticker checked out thoroughly.

This morning I woke up at 3am, sweating and was very hot. I got out of bed to get some water and had to lay down on the kitchen floor, I couldn't get up without nearly fainting. Got back to bed, and my heart was absolutely freaking out. Beating so hard at 10-20 second interverals that it felt like I was getting punched in the chest. I could literally FEEL my heart spasming , like a muscle twitch. When I felt my jugular for pulse.... it was BARELY even noticeable but was I could feel over 150 beats per minute. And felt like someone was sitting on my chest... I was literally panting like a dog.

I laid there like that for about ten minutes and it started to get back to normal, ok far from normal but it was getting better. So I decided to try and keep relaxed. Fell back asleep and woke up at 8 am. I could now walk, but had extremely blurred vision, was sweating very badly, my hands were so cold I couldn't hardly use the phone (calling wife) and the tips of my fingers were turning blue.

Dropped the kids off at the babysitters (next door) and drove myself to the emergency room. About half way there IMMEDIATELY had this warm sensation through out my entire body and my hands returned to normal, my vision got better and I just felt very hungry.

Got some good and waited in the parking lot of the emergency room and waited to see how things went. Heart slowly has been returning to normal all day.... so I never ended up going in. But, even still, I have pressure around my chest area. Random hard beats.

Yea... not good stuff.

Sounds like a heart rythem problem,I had a good friend that had issues sorta like that.... I think the docs shocked him to straighten it out. Silly sounding I know.
Hope all stays well with you Eric,I'll send a prayer up for you man.

Yep, I believe that's what it is too..... My uncle had a similar issue and the top of the heart and bottom were not jiving right. They couldn't get it going to such a point they actually had to stop his heart and shock it back going again. He is now on medication for it.

I'm completely stopping all caffeine (I've always drank an energy drink a day) to see if that helps.
