I know right.... my finger tips were blue and I couldn't feel them, all while I couldn't stand up without things getting black and my heart was about to fail.

I got the kids ready for school, DROVE my son to school... and then drove my daughter to the baby sitters....and then drove myself 45 minutes to the hospital and waited in the parking lot to see if things were actually serious.

Then drove home. SISSIES I TELL YA

I'm the same way too. I don't like taking prescription stuff. Some people get one sniffle and they are at the doctor acting like it's terminal. Gee, I wonder how antibiotic resistant germs came about.

I had a touch of what ever went around just like everyone else and I kicked it with rest and extra vitamin c. People don't have an immune system any more. Growing up with livestock gives you a spectacular immune system I guess.

The last time I recall going to the doctor was in the academy. We were doing a PT circuit and my brother slammed a 150+ lb wooden dummy right on the top of my foot. It hurt like hell but I continued with the circuit and the rest of the DT until lunch. At that point my foot had swollen up so much I couldn't even put my shoe on. Our on site medical guy took a look at it, said it was probably broken and sent me to the hospital. Took an x-ray, yep, it was broken. Thankfully I broke it on the last day of defensive tactics otherwise I could've been held back until the next academy and do the whole damn thing all over again.

On another note, filled up the TDI yesterday and hand calculated 46mpg. I'm definitely happy with that.

I use to be a tuff guy about going to the Dr until the cold I had ended up getting me rushed to the er with pneumonia. After that I've always had bronchitis issues and don't screw around with it. We had a buddy who had numbness issues and light headed spells. He was 25 years old 6'3" 178 pounds died of a massive heart attack. He was one of the "healthiest" guys I knew. He was in the gym every day and ran marathons. Found out he had a heart issue he had been ignoring.

I used to tough out the colds too. Then one time I really felt like Shit and went to urgent care and they stuck an IV in my arm and told me I had pneumonia. Not cool. Since then I treat it serious when it gets to where I can't breathe.
I went back this morning, ear infection. I was talking to my mom and she said it's my 1st one. 52 years old and NOW I get an ear infection? wtf.

Holy moly you're an old man! That's 30 years older than me. :D
Also the chiropractor I go to says ear infections happen when something in your neck is out of alignment. No idea if that's true or not but might be something to look in to.
