Dman, I thought $40 for a pair was kinda pricey. What style bulb does a 4th gen have? My 2nd has a 9004 bulb, and the sport lights have a 9007 and a 9004. They both have a large plastic base, the only difference between them is the location of the tabs that align them in the housing.

Had fun. The transmission out now and I'm waiting around for this local diesel "expert" to rebuild it. An Ally plus transfer case weighs a lot, but not too much to manage. I should have said "F" it and taken the transfer case off, but the "expert" said that wasn't necessary. Well as it sits bolted up, the transfer case sits a few inches over the torsion key cross member. So after about a dozen tries of letting the front down and maneuvering the tail up/down, back/forth, and left/right, we had it on the ground. The starter has to come out to get the converter bolts, dumb. And the starter sits under 2 inches from the passenger side exhaust manifold with no sort of heat shield that I saw, dumb again.

I should have "Nope, don't want anything to do with it" but I wanted the Allison notch in my belt. That's what greed gets you.

That's an hour job......son

Well we just got word that we are running our shops with one person on days and 1 or more on nights and we are doing pm's on the road. One shop already has been notified that one mechanic and one expediter is being let go. we have 8 shops in Iowa total, we will have 23 total mechanics 8 on days and rest on nights some how. So I'm just hoping I'll still have a job once all this gets straightened out. Might be selling a few trucks...

My experience with chevy trucks are they are a hell of a truck. I've also seen some that just seem to fall apart. Which that tells me, that they are like any other truck/part/etc.... that is made by man.

I think what really killed me on Chevy wasy family. All I ever heard was how they were the greatest thing on the planet and most were always being worked on. I thought it was funny a few weeks ago we go to my uncles. It was one of those single digit days. He was moving trailers with his Duramax. We both shut our trucks off at the same time. Well about 7 hours later I go to leave and my uncle is going to move his. He is talking sthi about how he bets my pos Ford won't start. Mime fired right off after wts light went out. He cranked his for 30 seconds and pops the hood. He jumps out with a can of starting fluid and has to give the mighty D-max a snort. I about fell out of the truck laughing.
