Have you thought about something in between the spring and stops. Something to help the two side by each other like a piece of plastic. May keep any noises down or binding.

Yeh ellis i'm gona do somthing there, first i need to tweek the distance they are from the stops,
because they will hit every now and then when i go over a sharp bump when empty, i'm gona grind off a little
of the spring then try to figger out what i'm gona put between them.

I thought that as well. As far as the bumping when hitting ruts, Both of my ton dump trucks do that. With the dump body empty its like yours and will jump you in the air when it hits on them. A real tight shock would help some with that.

I know this is gonna sound funny but my truck rides better loaded up till its over loads are hitting. I can hit a bump running empty and it jars pretty bad. Loaded or pullin a loaded trailor it rides like a caddie, well till the trailor starts jerkin anyway. :?

Richie... you are exactly right my rear shocks are junk and need replaced, and thats on
that long list, you know the one that only gets longer. and my truck rides nice loaded
also.

My "heavy" truck rides nice ALL the time.....empty.
Of course, with an 18 foot wheelbase and the front springs nearly loaded at the max, and an empty weight of 9,000 pounds, things tend to ride pretty smooth, anyway.

BAG IT!!!

This is kinda off the airbag thing but it's for the same reason as bags, i needed (wanted) to try some load range E tires but with 16.5
wheels i can't readily find a tire that looks like anything for my wheels so i scored these on craigs list this week for $100.00 all 4 with
3 caps and the original tires (load range E) from a 2007 2500 with 1/2 tread , they are on with no spacers but they are very (CLOSE) but i drove it to work
yesterday and no problems, theres maybe 1/4 to 3/16 in between the wheel and tierod end.

Those steel wheels do look pretty nice on there, Dar.
3/16" is as good as a mile, but you also must have tight bearings on the hubs.

Not so sure how they'd clear on a 2wd.

Thanks Mark...they don't look hideous but i'm not much for blingy things, but i bought them for a need and
they will do for that. I'm gona try it out next weekend and haul that beast of a camper on a little trip.
