Well the old mans truck is up and running again. Remanufactured Ford Trans, new converter, trans cooler and lines came to just under $2200 and has a three year 36,000 mile warranty. His truck is actually pretty dang peppy now and hopefully is the end of his problems.

My stud ends were bad on mine cables so I switched to the stud type ends since we had some crimp ends. Otherwise I was just going to use the adapters.

Yup, I put them in and tried to do one 1/4 mile run. It blew the freaking coolant hose off my aftercooler. It's up to the same boost I was getting with the 5x14's, but the smoke is just as controllable as the DDP's. Honestly, I think my aftercooler setup may be on the short list. I was revving the engine in the shop to get the intake boost above 15psi for testing, and the sappy water was boiling off the side of the aftercooler.

I just don't think then' poker can keep up with the constant, gnarly heat that blower puts out. I think I may actually be looking into putting an actual intercooler on the old girl.

Or not, I've got an RC to work on.

I can go hours or minutes. Either way I can still talk diesels for longer. Heck it's the main thing that kills my phone battery since nobody texts me and the longest phone conversation I've had recently involved getting transmission tuning on my 4th gen

I don't like the stock turbo tuning on my 4th gen. It's too whistley out the exhaust. I prefer the holding it almost wide open type approach. Sounds SOOOOO!!!!!! Much better.

Oh yeah, noticeably more fuel than the DDP's but with their manners down low.

That's a good point, it is only money. Hey my birthdays at the end of march wouldn't that make a great birthday present? Now the question is who would get it for me

Hey there's this one shop in Idaho that would probably be willing to sponsor you a turbo. The thirsty gasser or something.
