51* today chaps!

Work is having new insulation put up in the warehouse. The contractor suggested Uni-Strut as it will hold both the old and new stuff up and could be ordered in the 10' lenghts needed. Well the bosses boss got it in his head that conduit would be cheaper so he bought 1200 pieces @ 10'. The contractor asked how we were going to get it up there. Idiot bought 3 drill presses and is having me drill each f'en piece so it won't be too hard on the contractor. In 8hours time 250 pcs got done. They need all of it done by Wednesday. Ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuu! :x

Jon, you must be pretty handy to run 3 drill presses at once!
How's that working out for you?

Still coming in below budget.

Pete, the trick is in the balancing of the body on 1 foot and using... awe nevermind. I just pull the levers in a certain sequence and violá! I have a pipe that now has 3 holes to fill

Nice find Mark. I noticed the SD plate. How far are you from SD? I was in Faulkton, SD (south and east) about a month ago. We wandered into NE several times while lost on our way there

Well, it ain't happening.
Crunched the numbers and with the cost of the truck, plus figuring the fuel to do it, I'd be $200 in the hole before I got home.
All I have running at the moment, since the tranny in the flatbed started leaking at the torque converter, is a '95 V-10 truck doing 9 mpg.

Looks like someone else will get a hell of a deal on a truck.

Speaking of dragging another 1st gen home, I found my old W350, it's in very, very sad shape (it was rough around the edges when I sold it in 2005), looks like it has been sitting for 2+ years, cab has been swapped, but I could tell it was my old one amongst all the others around, still had the hole in the instrument cluster and 9/16" lugs on front, with 1/2" on the rear. Too bad I have to let it go still, I told the girlfriend I want it back and she said if I can scrounge up the $$$ for it, go for it. Unfortunatley, everything I own with wheels needs work, the VDub needs a timing belt, the 92 needs the injectors rebuilt :( , t-case seals, and the VE re-sealed (again), the Polaris 800 needs a new drive belt, the Polaris 425 needs a carb, none of my three Suzuki Samurais' are in any sort of road condition, heck, even the transmission is blown apart in my John Deere mower...might have to go looking for a third job

Sell some of that crap! Then you'd have the money to fix the other stuff. Don't wait on that timing belt though, it'll cost 3x as much if it pops. My buddy did that, another friend told him to change it and he said "why? It runs all right." 2 weeks later it went pop, clatter, clatter, and it was done. New valves, rebuild the head, new timing belt, plus all the labor. We laughed our azzes off at him, he just doesn't get it.

Jon, fasten all the levers together so they drill all at once. ;) Or, just collect the money!

I would if I could pete. All 3 levers are at different positions so to concoct something would be dificult. Now I did find out what the boss budgeted... 5 minutes per pipe . Not per bundle of 10 but pipe! I could get a whole hours worth of budget done in 15 minutes.

I iwsh I could collect the money but we aren't charging the contractor. Siince they are working for us, we are supplying the materials.

I am seriously contemplating a crew cab now. Anyone interested in a near rust free rolling shell? Or I might be looking for a TDI...

Jon, get on search tempest, I found a bunch of ROT FREE crew's on the cheap last night...

Pete, I got a little time left on the timing belt, and I am taking it real easy on her, but once it reaches the 80k mark on that belt, its sittn' in the driveway till I can get it done. I have been thinging long and hard about selling just about everything, even my truck  I am 99% sure I won't, but if I get an offer like I did last march, she will go down the road like the last one did. The only difference is that I could have made a $3k profit. Old boy was as serious as cancer when he said he wanted it, and I knew he had deeeeeeep pockets. Might slap a drive belt in the 800 and put it on C-list...

Check the oil man! Make sure it's 1 qt overfull, but I'm sure you knew that. ;)
Sell those Samis, and the polaris. That should be decent chunk of change. What injectors need rebuilt, the ones from Puckett?
