I was looking at the guard dog pattern in 245/75/r16. I'm still hesitant, because there recaps, but I need 4 tires on the crew that's headed my way, and there half as much as any new tires in a similar pattern and size.

Hell idk, have to give it more thought I guess.

Well I'll say it now since it's pretty well done with. Today sucked in regards to it being my birthday. Worked too long for my taste. I think I'll go to the approach my dad has of booking the whole day off

Those of you that aren't Finnish/Finnish ancestry may not see the humor... Or maybe you will. I don't know.

Also, come Friday my little bro is coming down to help me pull my transmission to swap converters. Apparently I misunderstood Phil when he said he was making my converter a little higher than stock stall, I thought he said a little lower. So anyways I have a 17-1800 stall converter that's been sitting in the corner of my dining room for about a week now. The one that's in the trans now is 2300 stall and it still is a good bit tighter than the worn out stock one that it replaced.

Got offered a generating station (power plant) job tonight, pay is stupid awesome, 12 hr rotating shifts...but there is a catch, I have to pass the P.O.S.S. test. I did a practice test, 100% on everything but the math...its freakin tough. Complex algebra equations and other goofy crap. I hope I pass the real test :?

Good luck! I've thought about that route but I didn't want to work rotating shifts with the boy in school. although its a few dollars more an hour I didn't think I'd like it. Hope you get it! Where will you be working out of??

Thanks! We are going to have another crib midget come September, but as it sits now, I will have more time at home with my family than working straight second shift. I will be out of Louisa Generating Station, big coal fired plant south of Muscatine IA. I've bid on four jobs down there, and this one I thought for sure I wouldn't get, as it's one of the best paying jobs down there...but I got a phone call saying otherwise. Got to go study some more algebra crap...

Oh yeah. I remember how to do it. It's all about isolating x, so anything with a - gets plussed so it ends up on the other side of the = sign as it's inverse. Things with a times (x) get divided (and vice versa) until all that's left on one side of the = is x and your answer is on the other side

I'm not very good at explaining it

If it's - on one side of the =, then it's + on the other.

Same with x and /.

Dman, show your work! ;)

20) 6x+12=48
6x=48-12
6x=36
X=36/6 (if a letter is by a number, it's multiplied)
X=6

29) .5x/8-2=15
.5x/8=15+2
.5x=17x8
X=136/.5
X= 272

I am very rusty on algebra. If I can start to remember how to do it like you two have shown, I can probably get through it. The practice test is 38 questions to be done in 14 minutes. I re took test today, got 29 right out of 32 completed of 38 total. It depends on how they score it, either I got 76%, or 90%. From what I've read on some power worker forums, its about quality, not quantity.

I need to practice more... :?
