Oh, and go :finger: yourself.

I'm honestly not surprised Josh owns one. I'll have to get him to admit it next time he's hanging out at Tyler's.

He got it off of Ebay and he said it is too crappy to even use. That's what he gets for being cheap.

It always sucks when hard drives crash. It's equally bad when your equipment gets stolen

That bites.

I stoped using IDE based drives years ago. They don't give any warning when they die.

I back up on more than one drive. I have tow HDD's for back. One is a 1TB USB protable drive. It only gets used to store on. Then its unpluged and packed away. The other is in the computer. I also do CD backups.

I should clarify . .. . The HDD that stores my more recently saved stuff became whacked. (It's SATA).

This particular system has two SDDs. One for the OS, the other for programs. In addition, there's a 150GB Western Digital VelociRaptor for: TMP/TEMP files, Temporary files, PageFile, and Store. Each in their own partition. The VelociRaptor bought it.

I'm able to reformat the temp/tmp partitions for example. I don't want to reformate the Store partition as that's where the saved stuff is. As it stands, the system can't recognize that partition saying it's got an issue . . . and I can't remember what it was.

Lost all my website favorites, CTD .pdf files, . . . . my main password list for paying my bills (I should have that backed-up elsewhere on another system).

That other system has a RAID 10 array IIRC, might be mirrored/striped. I can't remember. There's five HDDs in the array if I'm not mistaken. Might be four. DOH!

Most everything is backed-up there.

I hope.

I have had 3 discs fused in my neck due to rupture, but while they were trying to diagnose it I had one of those
water bag traction things, it felt amazing and the only way I could sleep, so I vote for the upside table thing....

My attempts to go code free on performance aren't doing well. I lowered duration some and got 3 codes. Lowered it further in that column and ended up with 4 codes. This would be a lot easier with a data logger

Caleb I'm thinking hard about that thing......doc I went to recommended the same thing today,I got some kick ass meds today. I can't pronounce the name nor spell it (everything is blurry right now)without reading the bottle. So far its feeling right :)

I think I might build one ;) gotta be cheaper to build than 300$

I threw my back out 4 years ago and the Doc said my spine had a curve, and 4 compressed discs in my back, I got one and used it when ever my back would get sore or start hurting. threw my back out again this weekend and had xrays done and I only have 1 compressed disc now.

SATA drive is the same drive as IDE. All that was changed was the cable interface. The drive internals didn't change.

I have used a raptor drive. It didn't impress me. I have used 15K scsi for years. I just built my first SSD based box. I like this SSD. Nice.
