Beware - midwest 1st gen thief

Postby 79Powerwagon » Wed Sep 21, 2016 4:11 am

Had a guy call me on the interior parts out of the 93 I stripped down. Said he had a timing spacer and 5x16 injectors from THD setup for a ve pump he would trade me for some parts.

Showed up at my place in a gold 3rd gen with dual chrome stacks, license plate "BADRAM". We bs'd about trucks for a bit and he sounded legit, said he's into sled pulling and hangs around the haisley guys?

The injectors (now apperantly 5x16 nozzles on used bodies) looked in good shape and it really didn't cross my mind that he's lying to me about them. So I gave him what I thought was a pretty fair amount of parts, including a factory tachometer. He gave me the timing spacer, injectors, and $80

Tried contacting THD to see if he had any record of the guys #, no go.

Pulled the injectors apart - 180hp ppump #s. Ran the nozzles on my bodies, hardly any change, maybe worse. I didn't catch that the bodies were ppump line threads.

Guy does not answer his phone. Called him from A different phone and got through to is son who said he'd check with him. No call back, no answer, and if someone does answer they immediately hang up after I explain who I am.

So as far as I'm concerned this guy is a theif. Wanted to warn you all out in the Midwest to keep an eye out.

Just glad I didn't pay cash for this stuff.

just saying a gold truck doesn't help. Throw names or user names if you have it.

Post another ad with his name and phone number and tell everyone he is a thief who ripped you off "1st gen performance parts I rip people off". And keep listing his ad as prohibited. Do the same on the 5 closest craigslist sites to him, he will have ads in other cities find them. Open another temporary email account if he get the ad closed and repost. I can go on but you get the idea

Edit: And then there's the M4M section of the personals. There's probably 50 people he's ripped off and he won't know who it was. Be sure to post in all the major cities
