When I get enough money, I plan on putting a set of either 370's or 435's in my truck as well as a 62/71 S300. How much would a set of Tim's tubz really help me? I'm all for doing it, (they look real nice anyway) but I want to know how much they really help. I've been told they won't add more hp, but that's not all I care about. Will they help with the airflow, and if so how much will they help?

I'm fairly positive I'm going to get a set, but I have to be able to justify buying these instead of an anniversary present for my girlfriend. :lol:

They do help on air flow. That stock 90 degree elbow going into the top of the engine is restrictive. With a set of cooltubz's or a 24 valve air horn I saw a 50 degree drop in EGT's at crusie speeds. At WOT it was around a 25 degree drop.

So... do the Coolertubz replace the stock air horn, or should I source a 24 valve air horn as well?

If you buy a whole set they do replace the horn. PM TWorline, he has a few pics in his photobuckett acount. I cant remember his user name for his account. :oops:

Ok, one more question. Say I still have a stock size air filter. Would this be one more reason to go to a BHAF, or does it matter?

The air intake from turbo to filter is not included in the cooler tube set. As far a BHAF I guess less restriction is better. I run a k+n filter in my 89. Alot of guys do not like them.

Now before anybody asks, yes this is the same bolt pattern as the stock one. When I took the picture the CoolerTubz was closer to the camera because it is taller that is why the flange looks bigger. Here is a recent feedback I received from a 2nd. Gen CoolerTubz buyer, no I do not know how much he is fueling, what turbo, what cold air system or of any other bombs: "Saw a 2-5 boost increase, 2mpg more, 113 egt decrease, and 10hp/25torq increase Buyer:

Your welcome Tim. I hope I did not say anything that was incorrect. I was going to ask about the bolt pattern thing. That picture really makes the pattern look bigger. Maybe you could hire me to peddle your cooler tubes now that you are a magazine superstar. :lol:
