making a 3 gauge pillar pod...

Postby LOGANSTANFORTH » Fri May 01, 2009 4:02 am

once i get my double and single autometer gauge pods installed on my factory pillar, im thinking of taking it to a fiberglass shop and having them make a mold of it and copy it so i can have a few made, now obviously it will need tweaked and modified and cut and trimmed until it is right, i will be home june 5th and im hoping to have a working part before i leave on the 23rd......if i can keep them somewhat reasonable (im willing to take a hit on the first few to get them out there, along with my soon to be produced fuel pins), how much interest would there be in one if they looked good.....

i plan to eventually find someone that has a 3D scanner and can make stuff out of ABS plastic or some type of flexible material that can take hits and bumps, unlike fiberglass.....

I'll be willing to evaluate and test one to post the results here for marketing purposes for only a small fee. :P

Good luck. I've already tried doing that. I even offered to do it for free.
