2000 Dodge 2500 Fromt Brakes

Postby matthewh » Sun Aug 16, 2015 6:17 pm

Finishing up the front brakes on my gf's 2500, and when I compressed the piston's back into the caliper body, I blew the seals on one of the pistons, on both calipers :bh:
So I have to replace them, but researching I found this whole process including abs boxes, combination valves, etc.
Do I really have to start at the master and rebleed everything, or can i just bleed the wheel cylinders and then the calipers?
Seems dumb to have to bleed everything, maybe I'm too used to old cars, idk

If the system wasn't drained or got air into it, I'd just bleed whatever was replaced. If the fluid hasn't been changed since the truck was new, it'd be a good idea to just flush the whole system anyways.

Thanks Ike.
Got new calipers today, surprisingly they came with new brackets as well, so that was nice. Both calipers quit leaking last night some time, and the master was still half full, so I quik swapped em before work and we'll flush the system tomorrow and see how it works out
