New Hauler / Donor Truck

Postby AZBadseed » Thu May 17, 2012 7:27 pm

I just picked up a 93 1-Ton Club Cab.
I'm planning on using it for the summer to haul the race car around, then use truck to complete my 79 F250 CrewCab 2wd Hauler.
The truck has 150K on it, and its in great shape!
I'm looking forward to learning more about the trucks and power train.
Stoked to be here!

Hell man! That's a fine truck! There's many on here that would give their right testicle for a truck that clean  I would buy a turd for the parts and keep that truck as is ;)

I was thinking the same thing! This is the second truck I've bought to be a donor, but they always seem to be too nice to part out! Haha
DAMN the luck!

It's the same here, or anywhere here in the rust belt. Even with 153k on my 92, I have a 4" hole in the floor and the rockers are going fast.

Welcome to the site!
I'll make you a deal, DON'T part that one out, I'll give you anything you need drivetrain wise AND CASH TO BOOT, just to keep it from that fate.

I have anything you could ever want to do a conversion with, engines, trannies and everything else.
JUST DON'T KILL THAT TRUCK!

Mark.

Yeah, don't part it! Trucks in that condition are rare in most of the States. If anything, sell it and buy a POS to part out.

And welcome to the nuthouse!

I'm back again! I started a thread and disappeared for a while.
I've still got the truck. It's still not parted out. Had the exhaust fixed, and took it to the the Dodge dealership, they fixed a couple of sensors and the cruise control.
I've put about 500 miles on it, and it's tip top. But so low on HP I'm not sure about keeping it.
I've poked around the site and other places looking at values and add-ons, to make it perform better.
We'll see what the future hold for this truck. It's just really hard to compete with my Raptor at the moment.
Mark, if you are still interested in the truck, we might be able to work something out if you aren't too far away!

I'm in Nebraska, but distance doesn't stop me if the truck is worth it.
If I can't afford it, I'm pretty sure I can find someone who can, or someone else on here would adopt it.

Mark.
