crossover steering: pitman arm issue

Postby josh_6bt » Wed Oct 17, 2012 8:25 am

Hey guys, I just put crossover steering on my 92 W250 and I love it, but the pitman arm my using (jeep wj arm) brings the draglink real close to engine crossmember, especially if I turn to the right. I heard of guys using the skyjacker DA20 arm and I was wondering if it has more drop than the jeep arm. Anyone got a measuremnt of the skyjacker DA20 arm?

Can you get a pic of how close it is? I have no real issues with mine.

Ill try get one after work. Hoepfully I can figure out how to post pics thru my Blackberry lol. I have an s-bend draglink from northwest fab. Its got the right bend just if it was lower on the steering box end it would make my issue disappear. When its fully turned to the right I have roughly 1/2" of clearence IIRC.

Do some searching. There is a guy who tried northwest fabs kit and ended up doing his own stuff.

I tried NWFab and did my own lol. Only because i have 2'' lift, 4" or more and their kit should be fine.

Its long but a ton of info of my crossover attempt with NWFab:
