Post a few pictures up of your front springs. You stated it had a leveling "kit", so it may have an extra spring or two under the front that you could remove...

Hmm ill have to do some research I was thinking putting stock non listen leaf springs on the front and then getting shorter blocks for the rear to match the height drop in the front how much drop will I get out of stock style springs?

An inch or two. You can't go too low or you'll really limit your suspension travel. Why do you want to lower it back down?

Handling? Does yours have "looser" steering or something like that? There are many factors that can contribute to "loose" handling, king pins, tie rod ends, drag link, steering gear box, steering shaft, etc. I would check those things over before changing springs. That's alot of work for something that might not net the desired result you want ;)

I see...since you got a worn gear box, just putting on a reman will help out a bit.

As for lowering, probably just remove the leveling kit, the springs will sag back to stock and it will get lower how you want... it can only go down a few inches then the springs will be up against the bump stops...

My springs are arched up and my buddy's truck has the prongs arched down in the front it looks like that's how they raise the front in theirs no block on my front like used in the rear I don't want it to go down anymore then about 2 inches just to stock height and lower the rear to match

If they have a positive arch, then they are probably actual lift springs. The stock springs are darn near flat, maybe just a slight positive arch to them, and then turn to a negative arch over time, like on your buddy's truck. Since you have a club cab, then you probably have the factory 6" blocks in the back. Find some out of an 89-91, as they had 3-4" blocks in the back and swap them in. Get a photobucket account and let's see them springs you got, someone on here might want to buy them from you, then it would keep the cost of lowering your truck to stock down some ;)
