lowering a 92 d250

Postby }{ead$hot Zod » Thu Mar 27, 2008 6:19 am

I read a thread or found a site (like car domain) and the guy had dropped the front end a couple of inches possibly with ram van parts. Anybody see the thread or have any ideas on doing this. Usually the kits are for 94+

Normal wear and tear is good for 2-4" in front. Hauling heavy loads will do the same in the rear. My W250 has that "levelled" look, aka squatting.

Is it 4x4 or 2wd? You can have custom coils made for the front and remove the rear blocks.

I've never owned a 2wd truck that wasn't for parts, so I havn't paid much attention to the suspensions. My guess though would be that the van suspension isn't rated for the weight of the cummins. I would try finding someone who makes custom springs to make some with the right load rating. I use Alcan springs for leaf springs, but I don't know who does good coils. Then find a good alignment shop.
