Axle hub oil leak

Postby cougar » Mon Apr 25, 2011 7:20 am

I have oil leaking from a strange place on the rear differential. It is leaking from between the drum and the hub flange it attaches to. Had them leak from the lip seal and the gasket on the drive axle flange, but never there. Cracked?

It's possible. Have you checked the vent to make sure it's not plugged?

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

My 93 has metal shields that direct oil to where you say yours is leaking. They stick out just enough to catch the gease.
