I like your analogy of that event, they certainly don't give up easily, that's for sure.
I have a couple of spare really low-miles replacement "Valero" radiators.
1 quite possibly has under 5,000, it's clean as a pin inside, the other isn't any worse.
I've been seeing this brand of radiator as replacements in our trucks for YEARS, and they seem to be an equal to the OEM radiators, not only in looks and fit, but in quality and durability.
Back in '05 I bought a new one, a Valero, through a discount nationwide distrubutor (forgot the name) for under $200.
With metal prices what they are, it doesn't surprise me that they have doubled in price.
Hell, one of those radiators
JUNKS for around $60-$75 as it is.
