I'm pretty ignorant on 4x4 stuff, but how's the ride? My rear leaves are wearing into each other and I'll need to address that sooner or later.

The ride on them is awesome.... for what it is, it rides very soft and mushy.

Problem is I've got this horrific wobble/shake (entire truck, not in the wheel) at 58mph to 68mph. Smooth as glass before and after. Tires have been balanced 4 times... but are going back in tomorrow to have them put on different tires to see if it goes away. As I'm about 2 days from selling the damn truck. I drove it 50 miles today and was about 2 miles from leaving it on the side of the road.

Eric have you tried or heard of those bags of balance beads that go in those big tires? Supposedly those are the cats meow for keeping them true. Those things should,in essence, rebalance the tire their in every time it starts spinning.

We haven't tried equal yet... to be honest, I'm not even sure if it is the tires yet. I'm still running into drive line issues. Currently, I have my pinion angle and t-case angle set at 7 degrees...with a drive line angle of 13 degrees. The t-case, rear axle, and driveline have been 100% rebuilt with less than 100 miles on them. The driveline absolutely fricken howls, ever since I put in the 80. I just jacked up the rear of the truck and drove it with the tires off the ground.... you can get out and each u joint makes an awful growling sound as it spins...yet both are brand new. Apparently it is too much angle?

Balancing Beads were the only thing that would work on a dually I had many years ago. THey are the only way to go. Shops dont care for them, as its another 50-60k mi before you come back to get tires rebalanced, lol.

I put the beads in my H2 wheels when I put the new used tires on. It seems to ride ok, I don't notice any vibration from them. The great thing is I don't have to take them someplace to be balanced, just pour in the beads and blow it up!

I have the same type of vibration on my 4th gen. Only vibrates between 120 and 150. Before and after it's smooth. A while back I was talking to a guy who said it could be my pinion. If you were to take a dial indicator and put it on the output of your t-case, and move the driveshaft up and down you may find movement

It's not gonna get any tighter, even put in a special bearing on the rear of the case.

My axle guy apparently can't find a measurement..... Just measured my angles.......Driveline angle is at 15 degrees.... case yoke is at 6 degrees downward....pinion angle is at 10 degrees (WTF!). Now here is the kicker.... my case angle is double of the maximum recommended u joint angle. So do I drop the pinion angle to parallel and say run it. Otherwise I have to run a CV shaft/joint set up.

Sh!t is getting retardedly expensive again... Stupid power is getting old.

It looks like the rear spring eye on the front springs will bottom out against the frame on compression.
So you might need longer shackles.

Correct, it does look very close.... I was actually surprised when I flexed it out a little bit (I don't off road) and I compressed one side by about 18" (tire was almost bottomed out in the fender) and I was just beginning to make contact.
