NON-IC trucks have it on the frame, the IC trucks have it located by the master cylinder. That tit looking thing is actually a switch, as the valve assembly/piston in the body moves back and forth as the brakes are applied and released. When there is a loss of brake pressure, the piston will move enough to trip the switch, turning the brake warning light on.
If I had to replace mine, I'd do as Tacoclaw did and run the rear on an adjustable unit, so you can fine tune the brakes to how you like
