My pickup has new looking springs in the rear- arched a lot more than Mom's pickup with the same years and mileage. Rear springs will make a difference in ride quality, from my observations. They seem to have more, well, spring to them. If your truck has had heavy loads all its life, it may be time for a re-arch, or new aprings in general.
