Theres a bunch of play in my steering box. Is there any way to tighten it up or do I need a new box?

There is a jam nut on top of the box with an alan screw in the middle, losen the nut and turn the alan clock wise
while someone lightly turns your steering wheel back and forth till the play is gone, leave just a little bit so
it won't be so touchy while driving, let a few more guys chime in in case i'm wrong.

When you adjust it do it little by little and take it for a drive. Depending upon how warn out it is will depend upon how much you can improve it.
