Rear brake line replacement.

Postby jeff77indy » Sun Aug 29, 2010 11:32 am

Well while removing the ABS valve to bypass it I found out the brake lines are pretty much rotten, so since I'm going drop the fuel tank to replace the brake line is there anything else I should look at and/or replace?
If anyone needs the fittings to bypass the ABS valve I have two sets that I may have to sell.

Thanks

If you're running new lines, you won't need the fittings.

Yes, I will not be needing the bypass fittings and will sell them at some point.
I got the tank out, a previous owner had welded the rear strap to the frame instead of repairing the slot, so I will be needing another rear strap. Also the rubber bushing for the filler tube, anyone have the P/N for it?
Found a few other interesting fixes and add on's that will be removed or done correctly.
Anyone have the rear spring eye and shackle bushing and bolt sizes. Since I have it this far I may as well replace these also. The guy I bought the front bushings and bolts from has a similar setup for the rear also.

Thanks
Jeff
