The entire long block ie; head, cam, tappets, block, gaskets.........etc is all 185,000 mile original.
The only thing I have done internally are the 60# valve springs.
Wastegate is blocked off. It makes about 44 psi in the winter and drops a couple in the summer.
The lift pump is an Air Dog 100.
I have been reading so many problems with these and Fass systems, I'm about ready to throw in the towel. Worked good at first but is getting worse.
My advice to ANYONE thinking of installing one of these systems would be to mount it as low as physically possible. Most of these setups are made to mount on the frame rail with the head of the unit at or above the top of fuel tank. Well, it's not working out. I feel these electric pumps are just not able to handle sucking fuel up first, then pushing.
My advice is use a cheaper and easier Walbro 392 or an Aeromotive type pump in conjuction with a bypass regulator and mount it low on the frame rail.
Hellmann performance also has a nice looking fuel "sump" to mount in the tank that seems to be working well.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get to work on this Air sucking, misfiring, stumbling Dog!
Rant over.
